Hello Sir,

As the question requires to analyse impact of exchange rate on the demand for imported used vehicles, will we able to depict demand using number of new registrations of motor vehicles during each years under our review?

Some of you sent few questions as given below:

1.As the question requires to analyse impact of exchange rate on the demand for imported used vehicles, will we able to depict demand using number of new registrations of motor vehicles during each years under our review?

2.I have come across following problem,1. In most of the case the Probability values concludes that those factors are not significant.
but R Square explains more than 54% of the total variation.
can I proceed with this.

3.I went through some research articles. And found GDP per capita, Custom Duties and LTV cap will also affect the demand of vehicle. But I have an issue of where to find the monthly information
of theses variables.
If I change my time period to quarterly and obtained the quarterly GDP , then data points will be only 8 based on JB securities information.
Can you please advice me whether I can use those variables and is there any possibility of taking those data monthly.

Please post any other problems to the forum. Lets discuss them tomorrow.

Hi sir,

since we can obtain GDP quarterly data can we divide quarterly figure by 3 and taken as monthly GDP still we can see some relationship.
and i think we can take average price of selected model as a one independent variable that will reflect the duty changes also. Please sir give your opinion on this

Thanks

Use last month data to fill the other two months of the particular quarter.

Good to have ... Many of your colleagues have put it separately or together with other points.
